The office of Mayor Tim Keller issued a proclamation declaring October 28, 2026 First Responders Day in recognition of their tireless work maintaining the City of Albuquerque.
APWA NM appreciates this recognition. Public Works Professionals are often the silent first responders who are the last to leave. In a historic wet season, public works have been activated across the state to mitigate flood risks, clear roads, clean up debris, and respond to numerous service calls. But even on calm days, public works is active in the community maintaining and improving our community’s infrastructure across the State.
