New Mexico Celebrates National Public Works Week

Las Cruces marked National Public Works Week with a combination of community engagement and public recognition. The City hosted a “Chalk the Walk” event outside City Hall, where residents of all ages were invited to create sidewalk art inspired by the 2026 National Public Works Week theme “Rooted in Service, Powered by Community.” KTSM’s Más Las Cruces segment spotlighted the essential role public works teams play from maintaining safe streets to supporting reliable public spaces.
